Ugh

I may go out and get a bottle of whiskey.  Cuz I'm in pain and crying.

Years ago, a dentist in California did a feeling and screwed it up.  Had it fixed by a dentist in Missouri, but he said the damage was pretty bad and I would have trouble with it again eventually.  Eventually is here.  I don't have dental insurance and can't afford to see one.  So, I've got a heating pad on my jaw and ambesol to put on it and I've swallowed a couple of Aleve, and I'm swishing salt water, but its not doing any good.

I'm just kidding about the whiskey, though.  I'm not a big drinker and not a huge fan of whiskey.  But I may grab a pair of pliers and try to yank it out.

I'm not great at handling stress.  I'm really trying hard to not go buy cigarettes.  I'm really beginning to see why its so hard for people to quit drinking.  They think they're doing well, then life slaps them.  I'm used to smoking when I feel stressed.  So that's what I naturally want to do.  But I refuse to let cigarettes beat me.  So, I'm sitting here miserable.

Hugs. Tooth pain is the worst.
Hope it resolves itself for you; sometimes it does for me. Chewing a clove of garlic, if you can stand it, will help kill any infection and numb it a bit.

The problem is there's more filling there than tooth. And the filling is starting to chip off. It's been in for 7 years, I think? I think it may have exposed a nerve again or something. I'm not dentist so I have no clue but the dentist who fixed it said I would eventually need a root canal. I don't know exactly what that consists of, but it sounds unpleasant and I haven't gotten the guts to google it yet.

Tooth pain is inescapable the root canal may be much less painful than what you're already experiencing. Sadly, I've had a few root canals, and while I'd much rather have been doing other things, it was not as bad as having tooth pain. Wishing you the best for feeling better!

My wisdom teeth were growing sideways into my other teeth and removing them wasn't nearly as painful as having them in - even though the dentist had to shatter a couple of them and remove them piece by piece.
I would brave the root canal if I could afford it. My bank account is about to be overdrawn by $0.02 because I made a slight calculation error when I was paying for my prescription earlier and the electric bill will be coming out at any time. Gonna call the bank Monday and see if they can not charge the overdraft fee because my paycheck gets directly deposited every week.
Its just one thing after another and I can't catch a break. Why can't I just win the lottery? Oh, yeah. Because they have this stupid rule that you have to play to win and I don't like wasting money on pointless crap.
At least I'm not buying cigarettes anymore!

Sometimes there are low Income dental clinics.
I would call around and find out your options.

I had Ground down my four back molars from
Grinding/stress. I had them pulled out, I still
Need a bridge.

I just had a crown on a front tooth and i now
Have dental insurance, it still cost me.

Hugs, take care of you, when the pain is in
In your head it does not have far to travel so
Its constant. I can ignore back pain much more
than upper body pain.

(((( whiskey))))

My sister just told me about a clinic in town that goes by income and a friend told me about another one a few towns away that's easier to get into.
I've needed dental work for a long time. You can't tell from my picture, but I have fangs. My eye teeth are pushed forward and literally look like fangs because my mouth is too small for my teeth. I need to get a couple pulled and braces to straighten them out. I used to hate them, but they've kinda grown on me. They add character.
You can see them better in this picture.

Their time. In my state low income insurance
And elderly do not have any financial help for
Dental work. Never mind all the other people.

All I have is low income insurance.  Which only covers "women's health issues."

I'm covered for pap smears, breast exams, birth control, and std tests.  I'm on my own for anything else.

I go to a doctor's office that goes off a sliding scale so I paid $25 for each visit to get my antidepressants sorted out.  And the pharmacy has this insurance card thing that they scan that makes the meds affordable.

But even with a sliding scale, going to the dentist is gonna stretch things.  I'm about at the max of what I can afford already.  I was getting food stamps and then I got a $.020 raise at work which canceled them.  I make around $800 a month.  Rent - $350.  Electric - It's been around $250.  Internet - $40.  Meds - $50.  Car Insurance - $60.  Gas for car - approx $40.  Cell phone - $40.  I get 250 min a month and don't have a house phone.  Laundry - about $20.

And now I have to figure out food.  I would get a second job, but in a town this small, they're really hard to come by and I'm still trying to do school.

I get a refund from my school's financial aid 3 times a year, which I use to cover excess expenses every month. That's the only way I've been making it all.

I'm so sorry.  Could you raise the deductible on your car insurance, and/or reduce it to just liability?  Hope something works out for you - I know it's so hard.  Hugs.

It is just liability. It's that high because I hadn't had insurance for a long time. I didn't have a car for a long time! I've had my license for 11 years. There are no accidents or tickets on my license. So, what? I should have bought car insurance for my imaginary car?
