(((Mirandac))) - great share....so thankful you are here with us. It's so funny that you speak of where your group is and your contentment with it currently. I missed mine 3 weeks ago as I was sick. When I returned, it was refreshing and we too seem to be at a really good place. We have a couple folks who were a bit over-bearing and they have moved on - and might come back and might not!
Love your growth and glad to hear you are sleeping at night. Keep coming back and keep sharing!!

I would like to say that I learned how to practice alanon principles at and in alanon meetings.
If I could detach, not interrupt or give advise, allow others to have opinions that differed from mine, while I kept the focus on myself, lower my expectations, and not get destroyed in the meetings, I knew I could carry those tools to the outside worldas well. It worked.
I found it was important to accept the fact that at meetings we are all works in progress and that the Steps keep us from suicide and the Traditions keep us from homicide. Any time a meeting becomes off center the Traditions and a group conscious are powerful tools that alanon, in it's wisdom, has established to bring it back to center.
