Courage to Change 1-30-2016

The C2C reading for January 30 speaks about the difficulties of living with the disease of alcoholism. It points out that many times plans change at a moments notice and rules get broken. Al-Anon shows me a new way to approach these difficulties.

I can live one day at a time. I can make my choices of what I feel is right for me today rather than on what I fear I might lose.   I can think before I react to my fears and surrender to the slogan,"Easy does it, if I feel unable to do something today.  These actions will help me to  trust that there will be another opportunity. I have choices and one of the choices is to pray and ask for guidance and wait..

 The quote is from  Ralph Waldo and Emerson:"There is a guidance for each of us. by listening we shall hear the right word. Place yourself in the middle of the stream of power and wisdom which flows into your life., then, without effort, you are impelled to truth and to perfect contentment."

 Beautiful thought and oh so true!!!  Living one day at a time, trusting HP, focused on myself, without judging and gossiping  and placing principles above personalities, my life has bee  enriched 100 fold

Thank you Betty for today's reading and reminder that "One Day At A Time" and relying on HP is
so very important for all facets and roads in life as well as living with an alcoholic. {{HUGS}}
