I Guess HP Thinks I Need a Lesson in Patience....

So....for those who don't know, I have online stores.

As such, Paypal is my payment processor by choice and by default (required on ebaY)....

Needless to say, Paypal's records for me and my social do not match my SSN...so no matter how many times I send in the required documents, each year at tax time, there is a hiccup.

Each year, I have to resubmit and re-verify which I thought I did about 10 days ago.  Well - apparently, it wasn't good enough as today, everything is 'frozen' and I am closed for business.

That I can handle - it happens, it's annoying and frustrating, but this is not a super busy time for me so if it has to happen, this is a good time for it.

Where I am about to punch a wall (not really --- added for dramatic effect) is I have been on hold to talk with someone about this for ...... 1 hour 48 minutes and counting.

*sigh* - please pray for me and the poor customer service person who answers the phone should I ever reach a live person today!!!

IAH I do hear you and admire your patience and humor Customer service has certainly deteriorated in the past years and waiting on hold is so difficult .
I did learn from an ODAT Reading that patience is gained by letting go of "self will" So please make yourself comfortable and do not hang up . You can do this. :0

Oh I do pray for you as recently had this with a public utility...I would rather have root canal! I hope you put 'em on speakerphone and do something nice while you wait.

Peace

Oh IAH, I am experiencing the same kind of thing right now with work, I will not go into the gory details because this
is about you and your problem! I am learning from your experience and needed to hear, and thank you Betty!!, that
when patience wears thin, letting go of the old "self will" is the best course of action. Hope all goes well!!! {{HUGS}}

Well.....I still haven't reached a human and it has now been 3 hours, 7 minutes & 30 seconds ... 31... 32... 33...

I so want to hang up and try again later, but there is that 'hopeful' part of me that thinks I am next in line when I have no clue!!! Ha-ha-ha-ha.....

*sigh* - I do remember a day many years ago when you dialed a phone for assistance and got a human. I miss those days!!!

Thanks for the support dear family - I'll hang for a bit longer, but the hold is all talk - no music and it's monotonous. Very!

Can you put it on speaker and go about doing other things while you wait?

I gave up the hold place @ 5 hours and 39 minutes. For the sake of my serenity, I've chosen to 'let it go' 'just for today'.....I am afraid I will react badly if I reach a human tonight!

Loved Friends - gr8 show!!! ~~Still smiling for now!!~~

UGH! That is ridiculously frustrating! And, yes, sometimes you do just have to let it go. I had something similar happen recently and I honestly just decided to pay my late fees even though it wasn't my fault. I would get a human on the phone and then they'd put me on hold to go 'find a supervisor' and I'd sit there for an hour!! Nice strategy. They hook you in thinking they care and then frustrate you with putting you back on hold! ARRGGHHH!!

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you. HUGS!

Oh I'm mad on your behalf!!! Last time I had to wait all day on hold I waited over 5 hours...as you did....and when someone finally answered they told me "I can't help you and everyone who can went home half an hour ago, you should try calling earlier in the day next time!!! GRRRRRR OMG!!! lol.
Hope it is resolved swiftly tomorrow.

Document, Document, Document...I told them this morning that their communication to me about an account I don't have and didn't authorize which contains billing for something I did not receive nor did I request which they will not describe or name the supplier blah, blah, blah...going to send notice and complaint to EBB and make sure my lawyer gets this piece of frustration.  I've never needed an alcoholic in my life or paypal...what's the difference?  I'll send prayers and maybe HP is having some frustration with them also.  ((((hugs))))wink

Good morning MIP members......what a gift to have others who understand!!

So - it's a new day and half of my issue is resolved.....the Paypal side (that which I was holding for). Of course, while I sat with a speaker phone playing the same music and voice recording over and over and over and .... for the 5+ hours yesterday, I sent a couple tweets and a message to customer service! So, without an apology, a confirmation or any responses, that part is miraculously fixed this morning.

However, the second half - a communication to ebay that all is well hasn't happened. Calling Paypal is usually a much, much better experience than calling ebay.....so I sit and wonder if I will/will not call today. I can feel the hair on my head turning gray just thinking about it....So, just for now, I'm going to see if perhaps the systems will whisper to each other at some point today and magically, it will all be fixed....this is as it should be, however we all know that's not always how it works.

I always have a million other things to be doing, so it's not the end of the world. I will say that I am certainly surprised that I held for that long yesterday. And, you are so right MissMel - it's been my experience that I rarely get the right person the first time, with ebay it rarely happens with the first two transfers. They are the most dysfunction company I have ever dealt with, business and professional, for customer service. They make utility companies look 'happy, joyous and free'!

Have a marvelous Friday all!
