I'm having a hard time coming to terms that I will not be with my ABF for the holidays. I will be with my family out of state and he with his. This is going to be the first time we have been away from each other for more then a few days. Holidays have always been about family and being with the ones you love the most. My ABF is my family and my very best friend. I know I cant be with my mom and my ABF at the same time this year and I need to put some time in with my family as its been 2 years since I have seen them, but it does not change the fact that I will be missing the person closes to me very much. I have been repeating the serenity prayer every day in my head to calm my anxiety about it all but it seems to not be helping. Any encouraging literature or Al Anon quotes you all can pass along would be very much appreciated. Thank you and happy holidays everyone.
