It's the most wonderful time of the year - for me anyway. I love trick or treaters, bought over 60 bucks worth of candy to give away, no I don't get hundreds of kids, but I can't just give each kid one treat, right? I love the older kids - giving up on being cool for the night to dress up and go knocking; I love knocking before the kids can and watching the puzzled look on their faces as they turn back to mom - huh? I LOVE opening my door really fast and saying "trick or treat" before they can say it and then telling them they have to give ME candy! I love spooky movies, love Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! (but I don't have network tv so will search online for it!)
I remember a Halloween years ago, I was dating a guy who had a friend, drinking buddy - the two would suck down their beer and challenge the other if he was ready for another, who would suck down his beer to compete. They ruined Halloween for me that year, sneaking around the outside of the house and really scaring the kids with beer cans in hand, then laughing drunkenly and I had to pretend I was having a great time - ugh! Mr. ex wasn't any fun on Halloween either, tip-toeing around him to try to enjoy the evening and just hoping nothing would set him off and start us fighting. I love not fighting.
Happy All Hallow's Eve my friends - may the evening not be too cold, rainy or windy, may the treats be divine and I wish you and yours all a safe and fun frightful night!

I must admit I am not turning my lights on this year and purchased no candy.....
I am instead watching the World Series Game 4. My kids are grown and while I love the little ones, our city is most likely a big 'pass' this year for Halloween (KC area). After all, Halloween comes once a year - the World Series for KC once in 30 years.....(hope this is not true but a possibility based on history!)
I hope everyone has a great day/evening and stays safe.

Halloween is my favorite holiday as an adult.
Where i live now i wont get any, i will have to
Pursue them in the future.
I use to get 30-50 kids i loved it, even the dog
Did too. She knew they were children and loved
Their smell and the candy smell. She would wiggle
One end to the other same as me:)
LOL Happy Halloween to you too! You are so cute likemyheart with those halloween antics of yours. I wish kids came around in our neighborhood but they don't. I'm sure bf will have some stories when he comes home from work of kids in costumes and dogs too who visited his workplace. Thanks for sharing.
Boo to you!
