Greetings, I'm new to this forum. I'm not new to alanon. I've been to a couple not very helpful meetings. However the last one I attended I learned of sponsorship in alanon. My husband is a recovering alcoholic/addict. My story is in my bio. I know the ins and outs of AA. I'm a stay home/disabled mom. I've been with my husband almost 20 years. I'm also the adult child of an alcoholic. I'm involved in my own therapy with a therapist. Alanon was recommended by the rehab my husband went to, my therapist and our marriage counselor. I like the online version of alanon because there aren't many meetings near me and the ones I went to weren't particularly helpful and no one was sponsoring. If you're a woman who knows the alanon steps inside and out and knows how to be a sponsor please reply!
Welcome to MIP - so glad you are here and so glad you are joining us!
We have 2 meetings daily here (look to the top left corner). They are awesome, and the link to the meeting room/chat room is there too.
I am currently not adding any sponsees as I've got my hands full. If you don't get any responses here, join a meeting and ask again. Usually folks hang out before/after to chat so there's an opportunity to inquire.
(((Hugs))) to you - keep coming back!
