a stressfull day, happy to have al anon!

Here's my day:

Found out I may have to move (not sure but good chance rental is being sold)

Nursing program starts next week, bought my $2,000 text books, getting nervous.

Then received an email they are changing the requirements (after accepting us) we now have a biology class also. Last day to register is tomorrow and last day to pay. NO 24 hr notice thanks! More books to buy too.

Now I have a whopping 26 hours class time plus at least 40 hours homework/study per week. (that doesn't include clinical time) plus two kids at home. (and moving???)  *my brain probably started smoking at this point*

I got super stressed and irritable and then thought WAIT!!!!

I can't think like this anymore. I have to just trust this will be ok. The new director has a lot of experience, she won't make this impossible.  If I move, well then I move, but I can worry about that when the time comes, and that time is not now.  I can just save $ for a while and let it go.  I started working my program again (instead of kinda coasting) knowing there would be stress and things would get overwhelming at times.  BUT if I can 12 step my way through the crap I have been though living with an addict,  I can sure as heck 12 step my way through this!

After that, my day got a whole lot better. :)  So I guess I am having a very grateful moment and thought I would share it.

Rinn...what a supportive share from a situation you thought very stressful.  The supportive part for me is your recovery attitude which I lean on always.   Mahalo  ((((hugs)))) smile

I have to say I haven't always moved on from the load of stress from my addict ex, I have my moments it comes back. But over all getting the point where I feel like I am on the other side of the problem. What a relief! On days when I am confronted by huge challenges I have to make myself stop and thing if I can get though loosing a child to a heart defect, and a husband to drugs...then what does this problem have on me?
THANKS EVERYONE!
