the loss of a dream

It is evening and I have taken my daughter to work and I sit alone, well my 2 cats and my dog are at my side. They bring me comfort and a sense of life continuing. It was a beautiful day,I visited the correctional facility,it was a group of addicts who had  minor crimes. It  took me a while but I got the courage to speak. One young man said his drug of choice was heroin and I knew that God wanted me to speak,I talked about my journey through this disease and the recent passing of my loved one and I could see by his face that he was thinking  maybe it could happen to him.We left and went outside, while the other students had a smoke break I looked up at the most beautiful sky with billowing clouds and knew Bo  was at peace.

I am going to keep sharing,I know this is a difficult topic, but I believe it is needed.Maybe it can help someone process the grief and not go into a destructive cycle.I could very well be another victim of this disease if I do not try and find some meaning from his death.

Mary -

What a wonderful day you had. Carrying the message to those still affected/suffering is super powerful and so very healing. I am glad you found your courage and shared your journey. May you know that you are still in my prayers and in my thoughts often. Keep doing what you're doing and using your HP & program as often/much as possible.

(((Hugs)))
