I have just had an oh my moment of realization. I have been working on cleaning the clutter in my house. I do mean cleaning. Taking loads of STUFF to the dump and even had a garage sale. I have found letting go of the junk around the house has been helping me learn the concept of LETTING GO and how free I feel afterwards. With each dump run, I feel lighter. Its amazing! I do not feel weighed down and angry anymore. I feel I can move forward with new things. Maybe these dump runs are making me see I do not need JUNK in my life anymore, including a sick alcoholic. I am downgrading as much as I can so that I have only what I need and anything else is JUNK that will not make my life better. I want to be free at last of JUNK in my life and focus on quality! My time, my things! If its not of quality and serves a purpose, I do not want it! I want to focus on other things that are productive.
Great to see you Joker and your progress! So good to see that your 'clearing out' is not only 'stuff' but internal baggage too!
Way to go - keep working it....it looks good on you!!

Joker, I still use an old trick that I learned from a yoga teacher to lose the old baggage that sometimes hold us back from growth and causes worry and anxiety:
Put your worries, fears, etc. in a paper bag and as you walk drop the paper bag and keep walking.
The exercise can be quite revealing!
Nice job with LETTING GO and ridding your life of the STUFF!

It sounds like you are experiencing lots of self-growth. So happy for you - decluttering is a great feeling...I like the idea of not just physically but also emotionally :)
