God never fails...just when needed He is always there.

I know that from my experience, God is very important in my life. I know some have another name for their understanding. If someone needs to have a different understanding, I hope you are not offended by what i say. I just want to remind myself of the power of God & of prayer. Once someone gets to step 11 it is obvious the need for prayer. Just recently I gave back a poor waitress the 20 dollars that she gave me by accident w/ my change. I knew I only had one 20 dollar bill but was unable to convince the girl that she would probably be short in her drawer. Finally she said she would call only if she felt it was missing. Anyhow, she called & the situation was resolved. She thanked me for my honesty & I told her I would do it for anyone.

So, now I am sitting here w/ joy & a song in my heart. I am so blessed to have taken the step to have God back in my life. So many times I have rejected the whole idea that God is real & I am not powerful. The only way I can have any POWER is through the meeting & on here w/ all of you.

The focus is really on the Program itself. I am only a trusted servant. I have only so much to give & that is all I can do'

Even our F2F meetings are suffering because of the key we carry & rotation of leadership. I won't go into it because it kind of frustrated me & makes me angry.

So, I will go for now.

I have so many things to catch up on that I am struggling w/ what to do first. IF it wasn't so HOT, I would get on my swing outside in the shade. No shade right now.

Kathleen

Hugs Kathleen.
Glad you're here, trying to find peace with us.
I'll trade you the heat for our winter chill in a heartbeat, if you like

(((Kathleen))) -

True, true and true! I feel I am nothing without my faith and trust in my HP. I got myself all screwed up by myself before this program and I have a new freedom and sense of peace. The biggest change has been a renewed relationship with HP.... I am sorry your F2F meetings have hit a lull......yet another lovely tool of our program - this too shall pass!

Enjoy your moment and enjoy your day!

I agree Hoot, that as for you, my HP is such an important part of
my life, serenity and peace. Glad you are part of MIP.

Hello Kathleen I love how program has given me the tools ,courage and awareness to place priniciples above personalities and do the next right thing I appreciate this share.
The 11th Step is very powerful.
My favorite Al-Anon meeting, has had problems with the meeting room space for several months. The meeting is held in a government veterans hospital and the Security officers.there are often unwelcoming and distrustful. Many times thye turn people awaysaying there is no meeting or give people a hard time about what they are carrying .
Many people complain and so after holding a business meeting a group was appointed someone to contact the facility to resolve the issues.
Everybody on the committee did try but reporterd that they were unsuccessful and unable to reach conclusions.Last week on person involved on the committee did find somebody and they did get into a huge argument. Nothing was resolved.

I did finally become involved. I called the person talked about the situation and forwarded several emails from the facility welcoming us back after the hurricane. She agreed to maintain our space, notify the guards of our permission and change your meeting room to a different floor.
It is difficult, sharing responsibilities, and sometimes my control issues surface but I must admit I did give it a fair chance to work by group the committee. Good luck with your group issues.
