The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
Been away from Al anon a long time; now I'm back. My life has become unmanageable. My alcoholic husband who was in recovery died of cancer 3.5 years ago and I am lost. I am back to find myself as I feel as though I was buried along with my husband.
Welcome Back-So sorry for the huge period of grief you must have been and are going through. I am confident that you will get yourself back a lot sooner than you can imagine. We slip back but not ALL the way back when we disconnect from program although it may FEEL that way sometimes.
So... Welcome HOME!!!

Welcome Mobius Sorry for the loss of your husband and understand how easy it is to get lost in the grief. Just dust off your literature and grab your seat--. Recovery is right in the rooms and on this site. You are not alone.
Thank you for your kind words. I attended my first on line meeting just now and it was a welcome relief. Did not have the time all the while he was so sick so now putting the time to good use.
You are not alone. I can see now if i stopped
My meetings i would regress to my old stinking
Thinking. I have a very good friend that stopped
Alanon after getting divorce, she could still use
It today, her ah was abusive and they still own the
Home together. She is still afraid.
Death does not stop the need for Support or the
program. I am grieving my marriage same thing
It has been very intense for me add in alcoholism
you Have a hot ball of wax.
I have an emotional minefield to walk thru in my
Recovery so much lingering damage to face and
Go thru. It has not been much fun but needed
For my growth and healing.
Thank you so much for your reply. Divorce, separation, death are all the same thing. I knew I was bottoming out when I wanted to dig him up from the grave and fight with him. I am living with all the bad decisions and having a hard time not blaming him; he's still right in my face. He did his 90/90 and then quit and I kept going so that was working. It was when I stopped going to Al Anon that everything deteriorated in me. Had one meeting on line last night and the difference was amazing. It works and I am watching the clock this morning for the 9am meeting. I am feeling grateful once again; a feeling I had lost.
