Yesterday I sold my husband's dog for him.  The dog had begun snapping at our two year old and I was afraid to have it around.  My husband said he wanted to buy some shoes and a few other things with the money.  Usually I would take the money and go buy what he needs so he doesn't have any cash on him.  Last night I handed the $100.00.  He paid my mother-in-law for his ticket to go see Dora the Explorer.  My mother-in-law and I planned on taking two of my children.  The rest of the money he used to buy a half an ounce of marijuana.  He just bounce a half ounce on Monday and had smoked it all.  I did comment that he seems to be smoking a lot lately, but let it go at that.  I didn't try to control him.  I didn't try to stay up late to see if he would leave after I went to bed.  For me, that is progress.  Usually when he has money, I make sure to spend every penny right then so there is no money for him to buy dope with.  I learned that it didn't matter if he had money or not.  If he wanted to get high, he would find a way.
