happy LOVE DAY to all!!! well the worst work in my house re-decor is over and i feel like rigormortis is setting in my tired body!!!
i checked my pulse this am to see if i was still alive!!!
the place (floors) looks great!!! i'll tell ya, i was worn out completely AND sober!!!!!
when things would get a bit "squirrely" like shaping the tiles around corners, etc, i would give over the project to my hp and i would get a "flash" of what i was to do to complete the task!!! it went GREAT!!! my little helper-friend and i put in over 20 hours sat and sunday but it was WORTH it!!!!!
i am taking care of me and it is radiating out to my stuff----like i deserve this!!! i am being careful/frugal as to where i get my materials, (garage sales---discount places etc) the tiles i went "high class" becuz they are vinyl and i wanted the "good stuff" with a 25 yrs. warrantee--- now all i got to do is hope the frigging tiles out live me and i am all set-- NO more re-flooring the place-- i'll be ont he other side b4 these things wear out!!!!!
my body is sore, but i am pleased-- didn't even THINK of drinking and over eating---i kept my prayer/meditation work up, even tho i didn't post anything!!
so i just wanted to "check in" and say "hey" to everyone
i also asked my hp to "help me be more loving/tolerent with people---as i can be sooo nice when i want to be and than turn around and be an absolute TURD !! so i ask my hp to help me 'modify my turdiness' and enable me to be more loving"
So glad ur project is over & now you'll always have that excellent reminder, of overcoming the tough w/ the funnies & a beautiful job that u did on your own to appreciate yourself just a lil more while u take those hot long mediataive baths!

Thanks for renaming Valentine's Day. I like it much better. I am so inspired by your post to go finish my caulking in my bathroom. My house is taking on a more feminine look since my A moved out. I love shopping yard sales and discounts and finding a bargain. And now that I don't have much money. Even more of a reward.
I too am inconsistent as far as treating people well. I am realizing that I can have my HP take those flaws and replace them. Never knew I had a choice.
if you can take your HP to the latrine, of course I think it's reasonable to give up your turdiness to it. :)

I meant to reply yesterday but in a way glad I didn't because reading your "Love Day" post made me think back to some time in chat where we all took a minute to celebrate the love we've found in alanon and enjoyed many group ehugz.
