NSN,

I have no idea what that is, sorry I can't help, but you got my curiosity up. In what context is "the screw"?

Well I shall tell my version of "the MIP screw" however David62 is the author of this wonderful MIP mascot we have.

Long story short . . . while going through divorce proceedings, David had a screw in his pocket.  That screw was ever reminding him that he wasn't alone ~ that those of us here were with him during that trying day.  David had accidently left the screw on the table however while he was doing something else and the baliff saw the screw [sharp implement] in a court house ~ a big no no.  So the baliff impounded David's MIP screw and much of this whole incident between the exchange David shared with the baliff lightened up the seriousness of his situation.  David's screw is in the hands of his county jail never to be released

Megan got a screw and she kept it with her in the airport and well you know because you already read her post.  So our MIP screw seems to be causing havoc among our high security clearance areas.  But as you know, we become so attached to the meaning of this MIP screw and thus the folklore of the screw continues.

Hope this helps ((((NSN))))) and I hope David replies to you can get the full picture (lol) because he tells it so beautifully.

hahaaa, that's really funny ~ I will take symbology from almost anywhere...   I took it to mean that, as a reminder, 'we were screwed once, so let's not have it happen again.'

I guess my subjective interpretation is on full throttle!

then again...  (after thinking about it for 10 minutes), we have cognitive shifts or turns of the healing screw...  & also loose ones!

lots of different meanings

That is a great story! We attach meaning where we attach it and that is such a wonderful thing. The power of symbolism is just amazing to me. I am so glad we have each other in these rooms and outside of this cyber world to depend on!!
