There's always hope...but can you see it?

I believe luck and Hope does cross my path several times. I just did not recognize it b/c I was in so much despair.  Or I wasn't able to grasp onto it for I was not prepared.  I also believe that if I remain on the "you" track, (you drank again, you are wrong, you should have...), that hope & luck just will pass me by.  I believe I must work on the "I" track.  (I can control my life, I can change, I think I can....) to prepare for hope & luck so when it does come, I not only will recognize it but more importantly will be prepared enough to accept it.

I can't stay on the same road I've been on & expect the end to be any different by just hoping it will.

Remember to use baby steps on that "I" path. Those baby steps add up until before you know it you are on top of the mountain feeling strong enough to take on the world.

I've been on that path for 3 years and I can see the top from here. I found a job I love & saved money, while I waited for our son to go off to college. a month after he left for school I moved into MY apartment. I come home to peace and quiet everyday (once I turn off my cell phone). While I'm sad to end our 22 yr. marriage I feel ready for a new life. Thank my HP for Ala-non.

Take a new road, DeAnna
