HOw are ya? Yes we have pretty music going and food around. We talk about the past
and tease each other. Grama is always saying something funny.

Her son told her to be good, she said well I don't have much choice! lol
She cannot heare or see well so we keep telling her who we are. I tell her I am
Mortimer Shnerd.

I completely relate to what you said. it is a precious time and a horrible time. WE
are all helping each other.

I get gma up and put pretty cloths on her and do her hair. She is so beautiful. I
brought a bunch of my pretty cotton dresses for her. They are long, she likes that.

This woman was here when there were no cars and most people had outhouses.
Women did not even show their toes! Here these cna's are just not respecting her privacey.

They should have been taught to.

BUT all and all she is getting excellent care.

hugs,debilyn

I'm so happy to hear your Grama has you and other family who spend time with her. You've enriched her life just by being there. It breaks my heart to see the elderly without family present in their lives. It's amazing how much someone can perk up when their family does come visit. It makes them feel so proud.

I'm doing well. I had dinner at some friends house tonight. They have a daughter that is developmently slow. I hadn't met her until tonight. She's darling,at 14 years old she seems more like 11 or 12. She blossomed when I drew her into the conversation. It's nice to spend an evening not thinking about how much someone else is drinking.

I'm enjoying life right now. The holidays were hell and I'm so glad they are over. I think it's time for me to move forward, baby steps!

Take care of you, it won't help anyone for you to collaspe!

Whitie :)
