thank you for the post, I missed it. Now I am dealing with my one hundred and five year and nine mo. old gma. She has now gone bananas. It is pretty tiriring. We are doing our best to keep a sense of humor.
She is a crack up. We write all the things down she says. says she has her boobs in the bedroom...and she owns the place she is in..wants out of bed, ya put her in her wheel chair and she just takes off down the hall.
she has more energy than my aunt, cousin and me. we are spent.
hp knew I needed this apparently. I laughed so hard tonight when she took off down the hall with my eighty year old aunt chasing her I Had a panic attack.
could not stop crying and laughing. It is a precious insane time. ya know she is not in pain, she is just bananas. we love her so very very much.
she and I are super close. I fell asleep in her bed with her. she begged me to bring her to my house, or for me to stay with her. then tonight I am worthless and won't amount to anything. lol I was making her take her meds. she called me cathy that is my cousin..haha I did not correct her. i wanted her to be mad at her not me.....we really are having fun.
gads how long can she last???I took my little dog rusty to see her. he licked her to death. she could not figure out who she was.
Hi Debilyn well you have certainly got good genes on your side of the family we are not going to get rid of you in a hurry by the looks of it. I thought I was doing great with my 92 year old grandmother. You know your post sounded like a breath of fresh air after the sadness you have just had. Nothing keeps you down for long does it chicken?. Have a great time at "One flew over the cuckoos nest" and enjoy every precious moment with your granny. Hp guides us in many strange ways and I am so glad to hear the laughter again coming from within you. Luv Leo xx
I don't think Leo knew has close he was (geographicly) to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest! You GM sounds like as much fun as a barrell of monkey's. I love the story so much because it is my daily life at the assisited living center I work at. We have a gentleman that rode his wheelchair down the steps so he could go look for a job. He retired 20 years ago! Every day is an adventure at my work! Enjoy her all you can! I take joy in knowing that some day I may as entertaining as they are. :)
It's really great that she still has family to care about her. Kudos to you girl!
