Thank you all for your concern over my recent "female health probs". I had my ultrasound done today and found out I have several fibroids and a cyst on both ovaries. Still have to get my bloodwork done. At least I now have some explanation of why I have this constant back ache. Until my doc gets the results of both the ultrasound and the bloodwork and calls me back into his office, I won't know anything else.
I'm very thankful for this program. Without it I probably would be projecting the worst case scenarios and dramatizing everything. With it, I am able to sit here and say okay, today I am fine and this could turn out to be absolutely nothing whatsoever (other than a pain in the back! hahaha) It is very nice though that I can share and know that y'all care. Thank you.
Hey, besides...there is a bright side to this... I have an excellent excuse to sit on my rear and let the kids do all the decorating of the tree! heehee On a serious note, it does remind me to practice self-care. Eat right, sleep when I need to, get off my feet when I need to... Easy Does It.
Luv yas, Kis

((((((((((((Kismet)))))))) ouchie! NO wonder the back ache and it must have been a bad one! You do take care and get them taken care of asap. Hope major surgery is not in store but if it is, that is good to get those out before they grow. I believe sometimes they can shrink them with hormones but things change so rapidly from year to year with treatments. Keep us update please. xoxoxox cdb ((((Healing hugs to you))) PS,,,isn't it the pits getting older? LOLOL
Am very glad you are using this time to relax a bit and at least knowing what the problem is,is better than the endless worrying and speculating. Women's problems....ugh!!
My sponsor had breast cancer at 50ish, and survived.
She is now leading a cancer support group in the small town I am from, as well as being the district rep for Alanon at one time, the lady who started our local alanon, teaches first aid, and mentors the Nurse's Aide program.
She firmly beleives (and she is now 72) that her anxiety related to her husbands alcoholism caused her cancer, but she thinks her cancer led her to do all the beautiful things she does now. She truly thinks that she would be the sound, serene, spiritual person she is now if she didn't have cancer.
I beleive, through her example, that sometimes our HP has to knock us down in order to teach us how to take care of ourselves. We are so used to putting ourselves last, sometimes we need a BIG helping hand to teach us to take care of ourselves first.
Kis, I am so glad that you posted the results of your test. I was thinking about you
Thanks for the update, I wondered how things were going. Sounds like, so far, so good, they can sort out cysts - keeping fingers crossed. No wonder you tired.... body says, if tired, let me rest!!!! Listen to body!
Now, how is it that Tea can access funnier funny faces than me? It is not fair. Whilst you are putting your feet up - can you find out how I can get one up on Tea? Got to "keep up with the Joneses", as they say here in UK!
Haven't seen you for a while in chat, maybe we go in at diff times. Have not forgotten you - so, take care of yourself, keep us posted.
