I saw this today while I was out shopping and thought I'd share it with all of you.  It really touched something in me..thanks for letting me share :)


Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,


Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.


It is our Light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.


We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?


Actually, who are you not to be?


You are a child of God.  Your playing small doesn't serve the world.


There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.


We were born to make manifest the Glory of God that is within us.


It's not just in  some of us; it's in everyone.


And as we let our own Light shine,


we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.


As we are liberated from our own fear,


our presence automatically liberates others.

Think how much power, your powerless act of posting this is.

You have no control over who will see this, or who it will touch. But I'm sure it will touch more than reply......and when we share this with others that gift will grow exponentionally.

  Thanks for posting this Faith,


I have mostly only found such things in Eastern philosophy ~ but I believe this to be true, that it stems from that fear of failure/fear of success thing...  just a part of what we "get to" come to terms with, having a human experience.


That we all are a part of that Magnificent Divinity, that Light that is God. 


I do think people become "darkened" along the way but (as a friend just relayed) we are present(ed) with numerous opportunities to make "the (up)right choice every new moment."


To choose to accept ~ to surrender unto God.
