I was wondering if anyone knows of meetings for 'couples' in either Al-Anon or AA. My partner has been sober for 9 years but we need help with other issues directly related.
I don't know of any in my area. However, I was listening to an AA speaker tape last night and the speaker said that they attended AA couples meetings - that they were able to help other couples with children that drank and other topics because they had been through those issues.
I'm not aware of any in either AA or Al-Anon. Some treatment centers do offer couples therapy and/or meetings, or perhaps go through your local drug & alcohol center for addiction-trained couples therapy??

In NYC we had "Alanon Chapter 9 meetings". These were couples meetings with the alanon and AA spuse particiapting I attended one and found it distressing and non porductive.
Do not know if we stillhave them or if they have been discontinued.
