(((barbara))) glad you're here. That bookmark reminds us we can do for 12 hours what we couldn't imagine doing for a lifetime. I love that - it has gotten me through many a 12 hours! Baby steps! That's all it takes. One step at a time. You're doing better than you think. -Hope.

Way to go Barb..... "fake it till you make it" is a good thing, as sometimes our old habits die hard....

That's when I stopped (or at least slowed down) playing the victim role - when I finally realized that it was NOT getting me anywhere...

Thanks for sharing that good decision...

Tom

I two suffer from depression. You are doing good. You should be very proud of yourself. Give your self a pat on the back. You took the first step.

Barbara,

I have that bookmark right here leaning against my work computer so it is in my plain view 8 hours a day. The things it says are simple, but they have proven hugely important to my recovery.

Barbara I loved reading this positive post!!! You can make it girl. Take control of your own life, happiness, and well-being, and you'll be just fine.

Best regards, Diva

Barbara,

In times of great adversity we find the strength to go on. You are doing just fine. Don't give up. Every moment you make it through, give yourself a big pat on the back! One of the best things that I've learned from everyone here is that baby steps always work.

Way to go!

Live strong,
Karilynn

(((Barbara)))

We can be happy, if we let ourselves be. maybe not completely happy all the time, but happy about the little things.

Enjoy teh things around you. The pretty colors of fall, the clouds. I love riding through the farmland and looking at the animals, or going down to the beach, this time of year I have it all to myself.

Put a smile on your face, just make yourslef do it, at first it is work, after a while it becomes a whole lot easier. It's a wonderful world out there with lots of things to be happy about. Just being alive is a start.

Smile! it feels good. :)

HI Barbara,

I have been following your posts. Our situations are a little different but I think our reactions are the same. I too wonder why I am doing all the chores and he is getting off scot-free. I too say it is not fair but I realize that I am being a martyr. I want to join you and let that go. Keep us posted with your progress.

In support,

Nancy
