amanda's religion class

tonight amanda was in religion and they made her make a god bowl  out of clay. they  told her that it was hers to ask god to help her with her needs. just like the god bad or box that we use here.  they also told her that she  had to forgive herself before she can forgive someone else & she has to help herself   before   she can help some one else.& i told her that i have a god bag also and i got the idea from someone from al-anon:)

just thought i would share that

That is so cool!!!! It is good to share with our children.  Knowing that there is someone greater then ourselves that can help us, that we are not alone, has to be helpful...I wish I would have raised my boys with more religion.  I did early on but got discourage with my church....I have shared that I do believe in a HP, in heaven, etc....We actually went with my A's church to see the movie "The Passion" when it came out....

My boys, all four of them, come to me and talk to me about EVERYTHING!!! Some stuff I would rather not hear, I always voice my opinion but also try to share what other people may think, when talking about politics etc....that way they know what I think but also can form their own opinion.

Okay, I am home early tonight want to call a girlfriend...I am so happy about your job!!

Hugs Mary

What a cool way to make something intangible, tangible, especially to a child.  I'm going to file that one to use!  Thanks for sharing it!  Really neat.

Right now my son is 4, and he has delayed speech so he says far less in words than the average child but he has certain things that he really sticks to and says when he does talk.  This one caught my attention a few months back.  He started saying at bedtime, "What a 'nother great day, kiss Mama." And that was our final nighttime routine, so to speak.  Too stickin' cute!

So now I have added saying a prayer at bedtime.  His prayer?...."Thank you God for a 'nother great day, Amen. Kiss Mama."  lol!  I just love that.  Oh, the things I will look back on in my memories and cherish.

Chrissy,

See HP has a way of getting the tools to those that need it and a teacher, from your past shares, you for sure know how to use a God Bag.

Has she been to alateen?

Much Love,
