Yesterday I came home and my husband didn't seem right. He was acting funny. He was talking funny well any way, after a while his adult son and I had enough of this behavior. He didn't know where he was and stuff like that. I end up calling my online sponsor. In the mean time I was like baby sitting him, it really suck. Well she suggest that I call AA and I decided to get his phone and call some of the AA people that he had on his phone. I was nervous about how this was going to go down. Well I call one of the guys who in turn came me another guys number. The first guy talk to my husband and then told me he was in no shape to go to a meeting. The next guy I came over an on the phone on I told him that he was drunk and he said to me is he ok to go to a meeting. I said no he is problary going to be sleeping. Well he told me he would be over in an hour. So his son and I got him up close to the time his friend was coming over. Well his friend came over and talked to him and now he is planing on going to an aa meeting today. His friend is going to be taking him out for pizza and then a meeting. I am so greatful to my online sponosr, my friend Megan and my mom for helping me. I am also greatful to his friend who came right over.

Good work NYCBT


In the past year you have worked your program very hard.


YOU put together a strong support system so that when you needed help, people were there.


I remember discussions we had about your need for strong support should things change in your life.


When the change came, you were prepared


That is excellent progress.

Good for you! I am glad you were able to find help, isn't such a comfort when we find help?


Thanks for sharing how a great support system for us is so essential.


And just thanks for sharing LOL, I know what I want to say, but words are failing me now, or is it my fingers, I don't know.


I am just thankful that we all come here and post the good as well as the bad.
