Going to see my parents this weekend as I posted before. For some reason I feel this calm. Even though I'm disappointed because they never call and when I get there my dad will be sitting drunk in his van. I just really miss them. Even if they are both disfunctional as am I. I would like to bring whats left of my family back together. My 8 year old daughter seems to be able to see through all the bull shit and find love in both of them. Maybe I have to go back to when I was 8 and love was unconditional. While writed this i took a break and called my mom. She actually seem happy to hear from me. It felt so good. She asked what was wrong and I told her how jim and I have broken up and I need to find somewhere to live. SHE WAS SUPPORTIVE! She told me to come home and we would watch movies and talk. She also warned me my dad is on a bender....but up know what....I don't care. I need my mom and that's who I'm goinh to see\

My sponsor tells me other people never see the situation the same as we do. Our parents see things in our grandparents we don't, and our kids see things in our parents we don't. Sometimes I think my brother's perspective is donwright nuts, but other times he says something that really hits me, so I'm learning to just accept everyone's view as just being what it is. Just because he thinks one way doesn't make me right or wrong or him right or wrong. It's just different :)
Glad you could talk to your mom. There have been a couple of times I've confided in my mom about things I thought she would flip over and she responded with an understanding I couldn't believe. Other times she has given me just what I was expecting...lol. Have fun this weekend. If your dad wants to sit in a van and drink, let him. Watch movies with your mom and your daughter and enjoy that time together. While living with my parents I never figured out it was okay to have a good time anyway. So I try to remember it now when I visit :) I'll be thinking of you guys!
