May you be at peace today, and his anguish may be over.
I was driving to a funeral last year, of a dear friend in AA, who had chosen to take his own life, by a heroin overdose (not his normal drug of choice). One of the passengers in the car, a wonderful lady in AA, who is over 25 years sober, said something that I found to be prophetic:
"It is sad, but it is not surprising.... After all, we really DO choose to either get sober, or die".
I am sad for the people who have been left behind in all of this...
Take care
Tom
