Well here in New Jersey we have had eight days of driving rain. Pretty dreary until today. Since it was so dry all summer, everything around my house was dead or burnt looking. All week as I drove my bus in the slops, I kept saying well, I seeded my lawn a few weeks ago, at least it is getting a really good watering. This moring I woke up to sunshine, when I looked outside I was rewarded with a front lawn (used to be a front dirt hole) that was loaded with baby grass. I was thrilled. I look at it as my reward for positive thinking. Just goes to show you, when life hands you lemons, make lemonade. :) (In my case if it hands you lots of rain, make grass)
I too am in New England, and talk about rain! This is the last weekend of my vacation, and of course the came out. This week is suppose to beautiful, of course. But a friend of mine called me Saturday to go apple picking, and tomorrow we're going to the pumpkin patch looking for "The Great Pumpkin". We had been planning this all week, and couldn't because of the rain. So in my case when life hands you lemons, I'll be making applesauce and pumpkin pies!
Loved your post. Thanks.
Live strong, Karilynn
