It is so odd...

It is so odd that I feel more productive now that I am not working than when I was.  I have been able to really get the house clean and keep it that way, cook wonderful meals, go to the library, run errands, apply for food stamps, recertify for medicaid for the children and look for a job.  I have only been out of work for one week. It has also felt good to put in my job applications and have people interested.  It validated my self worth (at least in the work force.) I had an interview today and another one tomorrow.  I put in an application today and am being considered for a management position. I emailed a resume last night to a Health Care agency and they sent an email today that they will be conducting personal interviews next week and will call me.

My husband seems much more responsible since I am out of work...again, it's only been a week.  I hope he is able to keep it up.  He doesn't want me to go back to work, but I don't want him to think I am dependent on him and therefore have no choice but to put up with his junk.

I have been doing so much thinking and have been more self-aware.  I have not been working on my written work for the steps because I haven't wanted to think to much right now.  Until my meds get in my system (yes, I called in my refill today) I feel vulnerable.

Thank you to everyone for their support and encouragement. You all are wonderful and I feel blessed that my HP has put each of you in my life and honored that I can recover with such wonderful people.

Hugggsssss Powerless, you sound like you have some peace right now within yourself. Capture this feeling so that as you are presented with things you can recall how you feel RIGHT now. :) It takes work, but I found that whenever I felt anxious, I would think back to just a moment that I felt completely at peace. That always seems to help.

Good Luck on the call for an interview.

Take Care!

(((Powerless)))

I think with all the running we do, working and raising a family, it can feel so good to get back to the simple day to day chores.

I don't usually like to clean, but I love a clean house. I do get a sense of accomplishment when I can clean it and make it shine and smell fresh, especially in the fall.

Enjoy the peace.

                           Love Jeannie
