I don't know what happened, continued

Hello Roomies,

I wrote a few days ago about my experience with my "A" on a night when his drug of choice was unavailable. (I don't know what happened.)

After that night I have had three teriffic days with my "A".

He took Friday off from work to attend a ceremony with me. We went out to breakfast, attended the ceremony, and he took me shopping. We also did a test drive on a car I have had my eye on for a few months. Friday was perfect. He rented a movie to watch with the kids, and we just had a great night, alot of closeness.

He had to work on Saturday, because he took Friday off. He called every few hours just to say hello. Satuday is also our family pozza night. We male the dough and do put all the good stuff on it, and then we have a picnic in the living room while we watch a movie and the kids pick it. We did that.

One of my coworkers, who I am very close to, has been having questions about her husband and his fidelity. And Friday night I thought I had seen him in an apartment complex that he does not live in. I called my coworker and told her what I saw. (This is something she wanted me to do if I saw him ever.) After I spoke with her about it and our kids went to bed I wanted to talk with my "A".

Years ago he confessed to cheating on me, and I left him for a few hours, and then it was never discussed again. Last night I asked him why he did it, what made him want to cheat. He expplained and this led to the best conversation I have ever had with him. We were up for hours discussing our relationship, our relationships before we met, and what happend with each of us while we were sepreated for a year (and that seperation was over 3 years ago!) It was very emotional, and vvery healing.

This was a wonderful weekend. And I got my husband back! I have no promises for tomorrow, but just for today, I have the man that I love, completle and clear headed. I love this program, and the gifts it gives me.

Much Love,

Great news. It's true, this means nothing for tomorrow, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy right now.
One thing I learned, that made a big difference in our lives, is that when *I* stopped shouting, there was only half as much shouting in our house. Everybody calmed down by 50% right away, and that snowballed.

Dolphin,

I'm so happy for you.  I wish you many more good conversations with your hubby.  They always surprise us.

I think that it is terriffic that you had such a great weekend!!!  I really hope that every thing works out for you and there are more days like you just had.

I myself have not had days of the "man I fell in love with".  Since I have joined Alanon I have had a day here or there but it was nothing like what it used to be and for a few days of this, well I think that is just great for you!!!!!  :)

Keep doing what you are doing because it is working for you!!!

Much love in recovery
JJ
