I checked out Portland State University to see if I could do the professional student thing...no go for fall quarter as I made too much money in '04. It may be possible for winter; will have to see.
Obtained Portland State public use internet account.
Notified Portland State's library of the problem with not being able to get into chat. They can't fix it until their new computers come in January.
Obtained Oregon driver's license yesterday. If I may crow a bit, I passed with 22 our of 25 right with virtually no study. I am truly sorry for having to ask:I will be needing $150 for Oregon license plates within two weeks or risk losing my car.
Obtained appointment to begin chiropractic care.
Completed CCC orientation, which gives me access to their resources and also qualifies me for vocational rehabilitation! I will also be taking a few mandatory job hunt classes.
Completed state aid grievance hearing. I don't get any additional aid. They did, however, stamp my card for places where low cost meals are available--something they had failed to do the first time.
Multnomah County Library is closed from September 12-14 so I will not be able to chat those days. I will still be able to post on message board.
Monday I start a serious job hunt. I plan to register with temp agencies in downtown first.
Is it any wonder that I'm planning to just have some earned fun this weekend?
