I found meetings in my area finally but the page I printed out has "beginner meetings and regular meetings" do I go to a beginner meeting. I am new to this and I am not sure of the protocal. If anyone knows what I have to do or bring please let me know. Thank you
Yeah, don't worry too much about doing something wrong. Everybody there remembers how hard it was to come into that first meeting, they will tell you anything you really need to know, you don't have to talk if you don't want to. Some groups are really strict about cross talk, some aren't, but they'll let you know. Any meeting I have ever been to, we never expect the beginners to go first, we let them see how things are done. It is not at all unusual for people to just cry through their first few meetings, and not be able to say anything. Nobody will think it strange if you do this - all alanon meetings have lots of kleenex!
