My 15 yr old son is having surgery in the morning (7 a.m.) on his sinuses. I understand it's nothing major, but he's my baby and I'd sure feel better with some extra prayers.
I just reread the paper the doctor gave me of possible complications, and OMG!..I shouldn't have..lol (Possible brain fluid leakage etc)..Quit reading it.
I'm sure he'll be fine, I'd just feel better with a few extra prayers for him. None of my kids have ever had any surgery, so I'm a bit wimpy about this.
Thank you friends..

((((((((((((((((chirsty, son))))))))))))) Prayers on the way. I have had you on my prayer list. I relate to your worries. The night my daughter had that emergency sugery, I got on my cell phone to a friend and she logged into the MIP room so I could get support. I don't know what I would have done without the support I got here that night! It will soon be over. Keep remembering us and know we are all praying. cdb :)
No matter how minor the surgery, they are still our babies and we are still going to worry. It's just called being a Mom.
I know myself I have had to learn to tune the Dr out when they tell you all of the horrible things that can happen to one in a million people. I always think, how do I know we won't be that one. (I wish it was like that with a lottery ticket!). Don't read those horrible statistics, I swear they are written to give us grey hair.
You and your son are in my thoughts and prayers. I am sure everything will go smoothly and I wish him a speedy recovery.
When it is all over, take a deep breath, put your feet up and relax, you will have earned it. Hang in there Mom.
Cjo.......As always only best wishes and prayers coming your way for your son and you. I know as a mother how hard it is NOT to worry as I worry about mine all the time, even tho they are both adults, we still think of them as "young". Oddly enough the young fellow at work, about 20 , had the same operation about a week ago, he was in and out, and all went well. I guess this is a very common operation (if that helps). I am sure your son will do fine, he is young and in good health and that all helps in a successful operation and recovery. Take care Cjo of yourself, you are a good caring mom.,,,,,gardengal
