Lastnight I fully expected hubby to go out and get bommed as a result of the talk. I was told by a friend that it is very common that the A's do that while trying to digest everything and then and only then would he come to me. Well I also know to expect the unexpected!!!
He did go out for a "few" but came home, he was different!! Nice loving and wanted to spend time with the kids and I. He made the effort. It was like a whirl wind. We have been living with this wall up just being plesant to each other and last night was very different!!!! Our home was warm. Thats the only way that I can explain it. We even went for a family walk which was nice and got caught in a rain storm which turned out to be fun rather than something that could have been a big to do.
Also today he Called Me. BIG WOW! especially since he never calls me. The call was to go out with him to dinner and we NEVER go out together. Especially when it comes to the business dinners with clients, he usually goes to these alone.
I feel like I am walking on a big cloud. This is such a big adjustment for me. I was prepared for the worst but not so much for this. Its kind of funny!!
I am also aware that the floor could fall right out from under me but for today I will just enjoy this. Take what I can when I can.
My health... It is improving I am almost back to normal!! More better days than bad!!! I still have more testing that needs to be done but I am very hopeful that I am and will be fine!! I will let you all know how the results are when I get them!!! Thanks for all of you support, prayers and love.
Oh, jj, I am sooo happy for you!! Maybe he did get a wake-up call after all?? We can always hope, right?
Ya know, in the deep dark depths of my mind, I wondered if he was drinking heavier because he was so scared of losing you, and didn't know how to handle it?? I'm glad he was so receptive to your talk. I know with my A, he'd go on a binge whenever there was something hard to handle. I told him it was time for him to grow up! And he's been doing really well!!
So glad you all had a nice family time :) I haven't been able to come on here for a few days, so trying to catch up. Keep up the good work, and I'm still praying for your health to come back 100%. Keep us updated, love ya, TLC
