RE: I"m looking for a sponser

Hi mandy!!!  Glad you found us, and that's wonderful that your looking for a sponsor.  Normally what is recomened for someone who is new to alanon or to this room, is to stick around a while and you will find the right person to be your sponsor.  It's a important person that you are gonna want to pick out for you.  Someone you can relate with, talk with, and build a relationship based on trust and respect.  There are such things as tempory sponsors as well; someone who can get you started on the program and it's steps.  Often times this person ends up being your permanent sponsor as well.  Best of luck to you, hang in there, you'll find the right person.

Lots of Recovery Love,

Trina

Thank you Trina for the advise....that's the road I will take, being a newbie in al-anon....I'm really excited to getting going on the steps on my family, so that I can "let go and let God" ASAP....LOL.

I forgot about the tempery sponser....I am an addict/alcohlic in A.A. and N.A working on me and now I want to work on getting suport for living with and ex-addict/alcoholic who is in the program and is not talking to people in recovery but me, and a step daughter that is a young drinker....I would like suport on how to detach with love through the 12 step's.

I've done the step's for alcohol and drug's....but never on poeple in my life that are ex-alcoholic/addict and a practicing alocholic, and I would like to be Page 449 (A.A Big book.) about it.

Being an addict/alcoholic in the program, I want it NOW...that instent fix and I know it will happen God's time.

There are no Al-anon meeting's where I'm living and I went to a meeting on line this morning....I felt so much better after, I felt as through I'm not alone and for a fact that I can't do this on my own.

I thank God for all of this that's happening in my life...........RECOVERY FROM ALL!!!!!

Anda work on me because I can-not work on other's, and I learned that the hard way......lol
