HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Hi Friends,

Hi Friends,

Just want to wish all you moms a Happy Mother's Day.  Being a mom is not easy, but it can be so rewarding.  We all deserve a pat on the back.  Been thinking about all I have to be grateful for this morning.  Reading c2c kept me in the moment.  It said if you are wishing things are different then you are losing your serenity. How true!  I am learning through alanon to accept my kids the way they are.  I might not like all their choices, but if I want to keep my serenity I need to be grateful for what I have.  This includes my 2 daughters and addict/alcoholic son.  He won't be home today, but I can accept that.  It will mean less drama and a peaceful day.  Hp has taken care of that.  I am grateful that his problems have led me to alanon.

I will spend some time at nursing home w/my mom then cook dinner for my family.  No big deal that I am cooking.  I  am grateful that I have food to cook and a family to eat it :).  So enjoy your day friends.

                                        Love,

                                       Danz

Very well said danz,,and happy mothers day to you too. There are so many out there who are struggling, who dont have food to eat or a family to share it with, and we tend to forget those less fortunate. When we get so enmeshed in anothers drinking or addictions, we tend to forget about the simple things of life, things which are free,,the sunny day, the flowers, the mountains, friends and family. We can certainly stop and think about those who cannot be here with us, either by choice, or those who live far away and even those who have passed on. However we must also think about it , let it go and not dwell on why's or should have's  or what might have been, and ruin our day ahead , not only today but also everyday. Remembering the 3 C"s............... Have a great Mothers Day for all who read these posts, and forthose who are not lucky enough to have a computer to come to this great place. Take care of yourselves!

Thank you danz, Happy Mother's Day to you too!

I'm so grateful for my kids.  It's even easier to be grateful now that they are grown, hehe.  My oldest called this morning and sang to the tune of the Doors, "Hello, I love you" it's your special day!!  (She also sings Happy Birthday to me like Marilynn Monroe did to JFK..lol).  I'm very proud of every one of my kids (2 adult daughters and 15 yr old son).  Somehow they've turned out to be solid human beings with goals and values.    I'm also so blessed to have a teenager that I actually enjoy.

Being married to an alcoholic certainly isn't easy.  HP has mercifully given me 3 wonderful children, proving that there is sun behind the clouds.

Happy Mothers Day Danz, Happy Mother's day all

Today is a day to honor all mothers; living, barely living, or passed on to a better place.  A day for all of us to count our blessings and be happy. That is what I plan to do today.

Dear danz,

Thank you for the sweet sentiments and reminders of how lucky I am.  I try to remember all those wonderful things everyday, especially when I am feeling down. HP has thrown me a few curves in the past, but the adversity has made me strong and helped me to realize how truly blessed I am.  I have my son, who has an unusual and beautiful perspective on the important things in life.  I have my grandson who is growing and just plain cute...teehee.  And I even have my daughter who is gaining in strength and learning from life as I have. Happy Mothers Day to all the mother's out there, and especially to you ms. danz.

Much Love, SenoraBob
