hi sanddie

((((((((((((((((((sanddie))))))))))))))))))))))))

life is tough for you sanddie and i really feel for you.

it is a struggle to be a single parent.  but one thing i learned from that experience is....i had to hang up my cape.  no more 'supermom'.   when i came to alanon, i had to surrender that role.  i had to realize that i could not have the perfect career, perfect kids engaged in the perfect activities, perfectly kept house.  something had to give.  it still bugs me.  i still work on it.  but i work daily on accepting that "i am doing my very best".  that means some days, the house gets trashed.  some days, my kids are not in an extra-curricular activity and that's okay.  some days, i take a mental health day from work.  ya know?  and it's ok.  i forgive me.

you are doing a phenomenal job.  i dread the days when my kids enter teenagedom and hate me.  they are still so sweet at 11 and 7.  it will be tough.  but i know i will have wisdom from people like you and luv to get me through.  i wil have your experience, strength and hope.  please take a deep breath and congratulate yourself.  and keep coming back for people like me :)

hugs, jo

:)  Thank you for your response.  Ironically, since I wrote that post about an hour ago, I saw the court case for my ex-husband, which was today at 9 am, in which he did not show up for court so they automatically entered a Guilty charge and revoked his drivers license for 2 years.  This is a MAJOR issue for him because he drives with a Commercial Drivers License and it has been his job for the past 33 years of his life at one company.  Hmmm, Coincidence Or Not--  I often wonder what it is about some people that make them stop their nonsense behavior and they turn their life around, yet with others, there is NOTHING that can bring them to their knees.

I had a chance to just lay down and do some prayer after that post and gain my strength with my relationship with God and am feeling better.  I have a couple days off work because I have a final exam tomorrow night that I really want to do well with to increase my overall grade in the course.  It was one of the most difficult courses I've ever had to take.  :(  I have a straight A average in school and hope to get a C in this course, that is how tough it was....  If I do REALLY well on the final, I may just make a B.

Well, gonna run and get some lunch....  Thank you again for your response.  :)
