Wedding Problem Solved!

A few days ago I posted that a friend of mine from work is getting married in May.  I wasn't going to go to the wedding for fear of being embarrassed by my husbands drinking and silliness.  I want to thank all of you who encouraged me to live my life for me.  I decided today that I am not going to miss my friends special day, as all marriages don't turn out messy like mine.  Sunday I was really feeling sorry for myself, and today I am stronger.  I told my husband I was attending by myself so I could enjoy some quality time with the people I work with.  He said I promise I will be good, I love weddings.  We went to my brother's wedding last October and he did drink water all night, but I'd rather not take any chances on that.   I vow that day by day I will tend to my needs instead of his.  It's been a great learning week, and I can't thank all of you enough.  There is hope that I can heal and get back to being the person I once was!  God bless!  :0) ODAAT

How brave of you.

Good for you! I know the more things that I do myself the better I feel about myself.

My life was on hold for too long as my A and I would accept invitations then he would either be too drunk to go or go and be drunk or I would watch him - ready to drag him away at a moments notice.

Enjoy the day!

It's great to know you have made a decision to continue to live and enjoy your life.  I know how hard that is.

Enjoy the wedding and don't feel guilty.

So glad to here you have decuided to go!!  You'll have a great time!!

I began to do things alone a long time ago. Last year I went to Cuba by myself to atend my SIL's wedding and had the time of my life!  This summer her and I are taking my kids for a week to a cabbin on a lake for a week and at Christmas time we are going with my parents to Hawii. At first I wanted my husband to come with me but rather than fight about it I am more excuited to go alone!!!

Have a wonderful time!!

With or with out him go and enjoy your friends special day. And if he decideds to go with you  remember that you are not responsible for his behavior, if possible take enough money for a cab home when your ready to go.  Have fun and enjoy .
