Sex addict recovery board

Hello,

Does anyone know of a board like MIP where the wife of a sex addict (my sister) can go to for experience, strength, hope?

Her husband is "in recovery" but continues to cheat with everyone and anyone including prostitutes.

I spoke to her this morning and she has the same sort of concerns and depressions etc as I am experiencing married to an alcoholic.

She NEVER would have confided in me if I had not sent out my email announcement to my family about my situation.

It is strange the turns life takes...

She went to a group therapy thing for awhile and I am unclear why she stopped - I think because supposedly her husband said he was "cured"

I just thought it might help her to be able to relate online...

 Hi,

www.google.com  Type in: sex addicts  in the search engine box.  Think you will find some help there.  Also, you could call a local mental health center and ask about SA or SAA support groups.

I am very curious, as how the addiction affects those women who are approached by a sex addict.  (Those of us who say "no".)

Another interesting read in on Stockholm Syndrome,  also enter it on search engine.   Can say some of the feelings sound familiar with one alcoholic I had to deal with.

I was suing keywords not getting me to the right place.

"sex addicts" did it.

Megan,

I am a codependent to a recovering sex addict in addition to his being a recovering alcoholic.  It has been my experience that sometimes addicts trade one addiction for another. sex, food, gambling, excessive debting, etc.  There are websites for Sex Addicts Anonymous, Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous, and Sexaholics Anonymous.  There is also one for both S-Anon (codependents of sex addicts) and CoSA (slightly different program).  I would like to find a chat or message board similar to this website for us other halfs, but so far I have not found one.  Thanks for bringing this subject up for those people who need information.   Dana

Smeep (Terry),

You may want to check megan's suggestions up above and see which one works for you.  One of them I know does have an email system where you actually have to fill out an application online to get access to the boards.  Dana
