Recently, I talked to you Kis in PM, private message and vented. While venting to you I tried to be honest, yet my honesty probably came out side ways at you too. I would like to apologize and make amends to you knowing that you understand and probably don't think I need to be making amends. :) But, I feel I do and I am doing it here on the message board so others can view this and also know how I feel about you.
You are a wonderful heart giving person! You dedicate so much of your time to the site and are a true asset to this program. I don't know where I would be without the time and sincere caring you have given me. I feel like HP/God has brought you to this site as well as to me. Thank you for being here and for all the dedication you have given to this site. Also, thank you for the wisdom you have shared with me and all your ESH. Your Grateful friend in recovery,,cdb :) Love your rolling marshmallow pictures too,,,:) they always bring a smile to my face.
Thank you ((((((((cdb)))))))) that was such a nice post! You know, I believe we learn something from just about everyone we meet. Either we are learning by something they might say, or we are learning by examining our own reaction to them and figuring out why we react that way. Thank goodness we all are so different in our ways, for if we were all exactly the same, how well would we be able to learn then? I enjoy our diversity here. Listening to someone who could be very different from myself helps me to widen my own thinking and gain a broader understanding of how people can be. Helps me to look at myself and how I am with others. I used to be prone to "judging" others. Being here has really helped me in that regard. I see where I was when I first came to Alanon, how I made my own mistakes in judgment, how I had to learn at my own pace, how I STILL am learning...LOL. It's a wonderfully humbling experience being here. And it is also truly wonderful watching newcomers come in and start working the program and seeing the changes they make along the way, the "new" person they begin to become. Of course that is the same for those who have been here a while too. There are times when I do like you did with me, I pm another member who has been here longer than I to vent or ask for help in trying to look at a situation differently. I guess it just doesn't matter how long we've been in program...we all keep learning from each other. It's a lifetime thing. And I like that!!
Luv, Kis
