Literature

Yesterday I went to my local library nad checked out some books that I thought would help me. Here are the titles and authors:

Hope for children of Alcoholics Alateen(no author known)

the Adult Children of Alcoholics Syndrome: From Discovery to Recovery(by Wayne Kritsberg)

Alcoholism and the Family(by Gilda Berger)

Everthing You Need To Know About An Alcoholics Parent(by Nancy Shuker)

I will let you all know if they are good or not.

Lanchas

Good for you Lanchas

The library is an excellent resource for these books.

You sure are braver than me.

I take the books on alcoholism and read them in the library. Afraid to take them out.

Afraid of what? The censure of the librarian? I see that I have some work to do and will need to take a book out of the library. You have sparked the fire, thanks

For privacy reasons, our library went to a number system...You can check out by signing your name or your number.  Your number is in a rolodex for the librarian to look up--as the book is there property.  Yep, know your librarian well --if it's a small town!    If you order all your literature from the WSO  and alanon website, they mail your packages to you, but just with the city, state, and p.o. box in the return address.   They help protect your anonymity.   Anything I have ordered from Hazelden, too.

Glad to have you here Lanchas.  You will find many people here that have similar issues as you do.  You will also find that you are not alone.  Welcome, bob6502 aka SenoraBob
