I can't control it

I kept my mouth shut while he had a meltdown the other day. I bit my tongue. The phone rang and it was his father. He rebuked his own father for some imagined behavior. I don't know of any circumstance when it would be justified to talk to his dad the way he did. My father in law is completely admirable. I know he had to be devestated by this blast from evil.

I know I need to stay out of his relationship with his dad. I know I do not need to interfere with anything that can bring him consequences of his own behavior. I just don't know how to feel better about the verbal storm my father-in-law walked into.

Can I  please hear from those of you who found a way to handle this?

thaks

To “feel better”… you do not need a reason or to interfere in anything… to just call your father-in-law out of the blue and say you love him.

Hugs & Luv,

My father showed a totally different person to the outside world than he showed us, and he didn't drink! So many people thought we had such a wonderful father. After awhile, if they came to our place often, my father would let down his guard and show his true self, then they would understand...why we felt the way we did toward him. They'd also see how our Mom was an angel on earth!
