Narcotics Anonymous?

My husband has recently started attending NA.  Is this the right place for me?

It certainly is if you are looking for a fellowship who understand what you have gone thru and for the peace of mind and serenity you must be looking for.

Welcome and keep coming back...and of  course Aloha!!

((((hugs))))smile

Hi Rose, it's nice to meet you. I noticed that some AA meetings are closed to NA- that is really not the issue here. I look forward to hearing from you.

You bet - welcome.

I believe there is such a thing as Naranon, and if you can find a meeting, it would probably be good for you to go there.  The reality is, those meetings are few and far between, while alanon is easy to find and you should be able to get to a face to face meeting without too much trouble.

Here at alanon, we don't care too much what the exact details of the loved one's problem are - we are more concerned with YOU.  There are plenty of us here with experience of living with various drug addictions, I'm one.

Ditto what lin said. My AH is a meth addict. He attends AA and NA because that is what is available and I attend Alanon because that is what there is here. NarAnon is not available here yet, though I would love to start a group myself someday. The program is about you anyway, not him. WELCOME!!!

My ex AH is an alcoholic/drug addict. I found this website and found it extremely helpful. For me AH doesn't stand for alcoholic husband but for Addicted Husband - he is ADDICTED to alcohol and drugs.

This is an awesome place for support.

Sincerely,
QOD
