he's BAD at manipulating

he has all the hallmarks but he is so bad at manipulating me. i even tell him do you think that behavior is motivating? it rarely is. either the veil has lifted from me or - he's bad in that one alcoholic area. has the others down pat.
just wondering --- Jill

Jill,

All I can say is, good for you for recognizing it! It can be so powerful to see it and respond appropriately at the time rather than look back and say "I shoulda..." Maybe it is not that he is bad, it is that you are GOOOD!

Blessings,
Lou

I agree it's you recognizing it that's the key, for so long I was manipulated and didn't even realize it because I was so far into denial.

I used to think the things he said and did to manipulate were NORMAL male behaviors. It wasn't until I started to get healthy that I realized that he wasn't normal, but just displaying TYPICAL alcoholic behaviors.

I vote that the veil has been lifted, welcome to a healtier reality.
