Well, apparently he didn't get released yesterday as planned, there was not a peep from him and his mom said the same. I looked online and it still showed his inmate status as active. Guess his projected release date was off. Anyway it turned out to be a rough night without him. I had $200 in the bank and the dish network drafted out $400 because when I cancelled the service and told them my new address they still sent the box to return the equipment to the old address which I had no clue about. Then they never bothered to contact me at the mailing address or on the phone but just snatched up $400 out of the blue days before I go on vacation and it will take 3-5 days to get the credit through. Funny how they can take the money instantly but to give it back takes an act of GOD! Anyway, I'm a little irked about that and be warned by my story... I think everything will work out ok!
Sorry about the whole auto withdrawal crap from your acct. I don't know if you remember this happening to me a year and a half ago. My AH had used his debit card to rent a backhoe. After he was done with it, a guy from the company came to pick it up. Well, he managed to run it into a bridge on the trip back to their office and did all kinds of damage to it. He of course did NOT tell his boss. So they thought that my AH did the damage and withdrew over $7000 from our acct. without telling us. They just went in and did it. We managed to get our money back by proving that he didn't do the damage and threatening to sue.
Our lesson learned.....never have auto withdrawals from your bank account and don't use your debit card for large purchases. If a company charges your credit card with an unauthorized charge, you can fight it and not have to pay it. But if they take money out of your account, it is much harder to get it back AND it can reek havoc all over your payables.
I hope you get it all squared away before your vacation.
I had DISh and its one of the bills I still haven't paid. I am still 4 bills behind on payments. I can relate to living hand to mouth. I really have not much to fall back on if something hits. I had to pay to get the dog out of the pound and took a day off work and thats a lot of money for me.
I hope you will now you have moved get a nest egg together.
I can also relate to second guessing the A. He is goign to court on Tuesday. The people where he has been living want him out. They don't have a legal leg to stand on to get him out on their time but they think they do. They keep saying they have a restraining order but they don't. I have stopped wondering if and when the A will show up. I know we do that so we are not taken unawares but the A has always done pretty much whatever he wanted always and didn't care what i thought. For me its so so key to keep on with what I need to do for me regardless. I do take precuations I look for a car or his presence. I will probably shut my cell phone off this weekend so he can't call me (he never did much anyways).
I am sorry you are waiting around for him but I know you will feel better when you get on holiday. At least this holiday you will not be greeted with a break in when you get back.
