Can Anyone Help Me Get Into the Chatroom?

Help! I had a harddrive breakdown and now I can't get on in the chatroom! My ex-bf's nephew was very nice in that he completely rewrote my bios(which of course I don't understand) and when I try to get into the room it says it wants to add "ActiveX" to my computer, then when I try to allow it to it says it doesn't recognize the publisher and won't allow it! Can anyone tell me what to do to get it to? He said I had had a virus and I think he secured me so intensively I can't hardly go anywhere without "approval" LOL! I was using windows xp and now it's windows vista system so I'm not sure what to do!
I sure have missed everybody! But he sure fixed my computer and for free! Thank the Lord for that! My ex-bf is still friendly with me and his family is very nice to me cause they know why I didn't marry him (he's the A in my life) so his nephew came right over and got my computer and took it home and worked on it for fun! Wish I knew how it worked better myself! LOL! Then I could "talk" to all of you!

Have you tried to download java again? If not here is the link to do that.

http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp.

Just follow the directions. You might have to adjust the settings on your firewall too. If you need help just send me a pm here and we can figure out how i can help.

I am soooooooooooo computer illiterate.  I haven't ever been able to download mIRC in 4 years now <sigh>
