Hi all, I think I have a new sickness, I can't stop thinking alanon when I clean. Ummm is there a 12 step program for that.
Ok so the new thought. Last night after I took a shower. I noticed that my hands were really dry. Hmmm I spent quite a bit of time with bleach and pinesole and washing dishes no wonder they were dry.
So I put some lotion on them and then......here comes were my brain goes into overtime....... I start thinking about how I need to take care of my tools. Yes sure it is good to use them and that is great, but I need to take care of my tools, or when I need them they won't do me any good or may be broken or in disrepair.
Then I started looking at the bigger picture. I need to take care of me. Now scrubbing my floors (me) and working out the dirt (pain, resentments, and so forth) is great, it needs to be done. But I need to have fun to, let my hair down, whatever I need to do...... All work and no play. It is all about balance. Scrubbing floors, doing the daily things I need to do, and letting myself enjoy the new found happy me.
No wonder we say work your program. That is what it is work. And they pay, amazing. Serenity, happiness, love, joy, all right there for the taking. Who knew scrubbing floors could lead to so much.
Love you all, in my crazy way. Who knows what I will come up with the next time I scrub away. Hehe, but I will be sure to share my insanity.

LOL, do a garden next year, you'll be bursting with new Alanon understandings :D . Growth, fertilization, trimming the suckers, training the beans to the lattice, and finally, the harvest!! Then, nourishing, canning/freezing, cooking . . . oh boy, don't get me started!
Alanon shouldn't be locked away in a meeting or online forum. So they say it is about how to live life.
You crack me up! You go girl! Ever think of doing a daily meditations book using cleaning metaphors? I can see it now: Cleaning for Alanuts: More Daily Meditations and Household Tips. It would make a mint. Mind you if you do decide to do this, I get a cut or at least an autograph copy! Love and blessings to you and your family.
