testing, testing, 123...

I think my HP is testing my patience today!  I had an appointment today to take my computer in to the repair place to have them help me with some things regarding the fax program that I have and a few other things that I just couldn't figure out.  The computer tech and his wife are new friends of ours, so they are pretty accomodating and also willing to give us a discount once in awhile, without us asking.

Having said that, I had made the appointment last week with the owner for today at 1:30 pm, and told him I'd like to see what he does to remedy my problem, so next time I'll know.  He agreed to that.  This morning I found that I was going to have a conflict with the original appointment time, so I called first thing and asked to have a different time.  The owner's wife said her hubby was free at 4pm, and to bring it then.  I hauled the printer and computer to the office at almost-4pm, only to find that the owner and his wife weren't in this afternoon.  The other 2 techs told me they were out most of the day.  They were tied up with other repairs and had no idea I was to be in.

I tried to be nice, and I asked why didn't anyone call me?  They had no idea, of course.  So I tried to get on the books for tomorrow and they said I'd have to talk to the owner's wife, and she will be in tomorrow.  Anyway, I'm just frustrated because I unhooked ALL the cords from the computer and loaded it all up to be there by 4.  I also stopped what I had been doing earlier to make sure I was on time.  ARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

I know, it doesn't sound like a problem, but I have found lately that I've been getting bent out of shape easily. The other thing that rubbed me wrong today was when I got home from getting groceries, I came in the back door to the sunroom, to find two of my cats in the sunroom with the door to the kitchen closed.  The other cat was in the kitchen.  As I opened that door, I heard this "swooshing" sound, and followed it to the bathroom, where the HOT water was on full-force!

I called around for my H, who wasn't home.  I called his cell and asked if he had been home, and he said yes, he and his driver/worker came in to drop something off and the driver used the restroom.  I asked how long they were gone and told him about the water being on.  He said, "oh, about an hour to an hour and a half".  I was furious!  First of all, we pay a water bill AND a sewer bill.  It ain't cheap!  And second of all, can you say "burn up the hot water heater??"  It wasn't like it was a slow drip.  It was full force.  So I tried to reason with myself and say it wasn't the end of the world, that nothing bad had happened.  But who forgets to turn off the water?   clueless.gif  Just the other day, my H used the restroom, then we left to go eat, and when we got back, he had left the hot water dripping, not really slow, and not wide-open.  Makes no sense to me.  Both he and the driver are recovering A's, so go figure.  Who knows.  frustrated.gif

The good thing is that the house is still standing and my computer does still work without the fax and other little things I needed help with.  I have had to say the serenity prayer.  And just a few minutes ago, my Alanon friend called to see if I wanted to grab supper before our meeting tonite.  So that's going to be nice, maybe I can let go of my wired-upness and let God calm me down!  aww

Hmmmm...I think your cooties are catching!

I was in a pretty significant accident a month ago... $6,000 damage to my SUV. It seems that it's been forever that I've been waiting to get my car back. They finally called today and a neighbor and I went to get it. I had to drive my rental because no one else can, she drovemy car home.

I needed to do some errands this afternoon and and joyously hopped in my car (the rental is a POS). I got out on the hwy and had no power at all. I floored the gas pedal and whizzed along at about 20 mph. GRRRRRRR
I called the place that did the work on it and they were nice enough about it. They sent a tow truck and took it away again :(

Soooooo...I wait.....again
Just wanted to tell you that in this instance also ...You are not alone..lol

(((((Kathi))))),

I'm beginning to think that this is going around.  Last weekend hubby was finally going to see his grandchildren when he got sick.  Okay no big deal, until I caught the cold, and now he has it again.  sick.gif  Now the cat is sneezing, and the car is wheezing! bleh  I survived back to school heck at work, ran myself ragged for a 5K race, and was sooooo looking foward to having the place to myself this past weekend.  Now I have to work this weekend, so the fall cleaning and decorating won't get done.  I'm telling you, the gremlins are working overtime for all of us.  Oh did I tell you that the apartment is a mess because they are doing construction work and no matter how much I dust I can't contain it?  Guess what aggrevates my alergies the most? Okay, I'm done whining.  I have lots to be greatful for.  Mainly my family here, whom I can let loose.  Also for this day, A is sober and that's a blessing.  I'm glad the kitties didn't get flooded.  That would be a catastrophe (bad pun intended)!  Hang in there.  Here's hoping life gets better for all of us.  Love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty (who has a trip to the vet on Thursday! Don't tell her!) wink

((((((((kathi, join the club!)))))))),

I woke up grumpy this morning too! Just started new medicine for anitdepressant, and just woke up ready to drop-kick the cat to the moon! NO PATIENCE EITHER! Must be going around!

Am so glad for this board where friends can give each other some love and support when life is giving us lemons, we can all share the lemonade! LOL!

Here's hoping everything soon straightens out for all of us and gets back on track , as I'm always feeling like my brain has jumped the track again! and your computer gets fixed and waterheater doesn't break and kitties don't fry or flood!

Hope Cjo's car gets it's zoom back this time and it doesn't take too long and Kari's cold and the dust patrol both leaves her!

(((((((((((HUGS TO EVERYBODY!!!!))))))))))))))))
