LOL me??? I've been trying to help my mom with my addict brother (he's 50) he admitted himself into a facility. My mom is getting confused to I handled talking to attorneys and the courts in different counties for her. You'd think I'd get a thank you...nope. Oh well..... Then my ah was in a crappy mood and I was his sounding board, but....I have no idea what he said...it went in one ear and out the other. lol That's the best way to listen to bitter people. But I'm ok. I made a post to you a while back but you didn't reply. I saw ya post to someone else so I knew you were hanging in there too. Thanks for asking. xoxox mwah.
FOY, I'm so happy to hear your brother is seeking help. Your mom is very fortunate to have you. I still haven't heard anything from my AS, but the wonderful people in my f2f meeting helped last night. Sorry your AH is still up to it, but great to hear you taking care of you.
It's hard to tell your mother that she shouldn't have expectations since he's 50 yrs old and set in his ways. I know my brother VERY well and I seriuosly doubt he will be reformed. I think once he's out he will be getting high within a few days. I hope I am wrong, but that's all he knows. He's going from treatment to my mothers house (she's enough to make you start drugs...yikes) He needs to be in a half way house because of his long term drug use. Oh well...live and let God. That's easier. lol
