How much are you willing to take?

What would you do if you knew that there was a Force in the Universe bigger than you are, and bigger than the A's, that ALWAYS equals out any injustice, that ALWAYS balances out the books, that ALWAYS creates what other people bring out and bring upon themselves?

What would you do if you didn't have to worry about "making it right" and that it's all gonna work out all by itself?

By KNOWing that there is an Infinite Equalizer, it takes all of this out of our hands, allows us to not take it personally.
You can KNOW, you can Let Go and quit taking it on.

We "take exception",  "have had all we can take", "take a dislike", "been taken", "take on other's responsibilities .  To "take" is a willfull act.

TAKE
1. To get into one's possession by force, skill, or artifice, especially:

 To capture physically; seize
 To seize with authority; confiscate.
 To kill, snare, or trap
 To assume for oneself
 To impose upon oneself

Very good points! Well put. I know I take on more than I need to. I give it to God than take it back cuz I don't think He can handle it. LOL Isn't that ironic!

Take care and God Bless
Sandy

Surrendering for me has been difficult. I have felt a failure. In fact it is the logical and kindest thing to do.

Hmmmm . . . very thought provoking. To "take" something, a willful act, means that we WANT to take it. We desire to take it, there's a reason we take things, whatever it is. We would NOT take it if we did not want it, or want what we believe the results of 'taking it' would be.

It puts it all back on us, just have to be rigorously honest with ourselves about what we want.

What we want, consciously or not, is what we go after every time. Very humbling, but very empowering too, there's plenty I see in my life that I do not want. I *think* I don't want it, but why else is it here??

If you read this far without your brain getting a cramp, thanks :D .

Great topic Christy!

There is someone to equalize it. The problem that screws all that up is ourself...it's our freewill.

Say someone is no way at all attached to an alcoholic, they CHOOSE to br by their own free-will. Knowing that everything you could tell them wouldn't even make a difference. So they say they are letting go and letting God...but that's not true because they use their own free-will and call them or talk to them, ect.

God needs our free-will to stop in certain circumstances to let healing begin.

( I hope that made sense, it did in my head....hahaha )

(((Christy)))

Great topic! Sometimes I feel I must take on more responsibility than is necessary because deep down I believe I am not good enough and that I must prove my self-worth to everyone. I am good enough! I would look at others and see they were involved in so many different organizations and serving on this board and that board. I kept thinking, "How in the world do they fit all that in their life?" I look at doing things and feel overwhelmed because I am looking at tomorrow, the next day, and the next day. When I focus on today, then it's smooth sailing. I can do what I can do and that's good enough. HP is working miracles in my life right now. I am working on a certification in Public Relations right now. I would have NEVER thought about venturing down this path, but a door opened and I have walked through. I received an e-mail today from an independent film producer and have been asked to take a role in the film. This is what transpires when I stay in Alanon. I work the program and it works for me. I dropped out of Alanon for a while and things started falling apart. I can't go there ever again, nor do I ever want to. For the first time, I can honestly say I absolutely love my life. I feel such gratitude for everyone and everything in my life. Thank you so much for this topic. You are such a blessing.

Love,
Kissers
