to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
The readings today are so kind of an affirmation to doing the slogan work - its written out like an insurance policy, do the slogans and peace back to serenity is so (2000 ed).
The slogan for 8.02.07 that is most enforced here in the reader is, to live and let live. Then the reading is further dissecting on the four word slogan, that is, to take the phrase apart and put a cultural meaning or value on the segments making up the phrase.
However, as the read explores the idea, it first points out we are going into the bliss we are seeking, or serenity as we go into the understanding of our slogans.
I used to have a car with the idea on it as a bumper sticker, the car was so the bomb! It is gone now - however the idea or seed of the idea was planted back then..
genteel paths n light n love to all, keep up with the readings / slogans, however one does. My sister loves to put them on the dash of her auto, such a doll she is.. and then again, I am prejudiced - she is my sissie.
I soooo believe that if taken the time to look at the words in each of alanons wonderful slogans.. and the daily readers words.....they seem to become more and more powerful in their meaning. They seem to fit in instances more and more often and always are a peace of mindfullness to me as I* sit with them... in thought. And the "word" s in each slogan... like Live And Let Live... also seems to help make it easier to understand that a simple thing such as living can be just that. simple and serene. *If i will just let myself accept this. I've grown to realize that I have the right to choose what and who and when I want of others... or not. And Me.., as a single individual, with my own brain and the ability to control my own thoughts have the right to decide what is best for my very own "self," no matter what others... no matter what my AH may have to say of it.
Is not always easy to just accept and deal...with a situation. But I am seeing it is not always important to speak up and voice my idea or opinion. Im' learnin each day its easier in this aspect to "Turn It Over" to HP ~; whos waitin there for me to do so. And then too to keep moving Forward with what is positive and right for Me, as my own person. To stay busy or to find things to get busy with. lol. I'm still learnin how to live and let live. .... and then again .... when to not. lol. odaat. ((getoverit))) i'm so glad your Here!! Keep workin it your so worth it!!
